Position Summary: We are actively seeking interns who enjoy experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. This is a full-time opportunity that will work from our Rocklin location.

Purpose of Internships: Our intent is to give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths. Internship experiences may be considered in the following operational areas: Analytics, Marketing, Corporate/Internal.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete the “shadow” period to learn our processes and procedures, while getting to know our people
  • Document your work period to apply what you have learned in the classroom and align it with Blast processes
  • Complete assessments to capture your learning progress as you set learning milestones
  • Record your time in compliance with state labor requirements
  • Learn our digital marketing structure, processes, and methodologies, specifically relating to search engine optimization (SEO) and paid media.
  • Provide support for digital marketing teams and clients, in the following areas:
    • General research, data gathering/manipulation, and report preparation
    • Presentation support, both external and internal
    • Keyword research and content/page optimization
    • Content development, including copywriting, editing, and proofreading
    • Website and landing page updates
    • Audits, including content, technical, social, competitor, paid media, etc.
    • Local SEO, including directory/listings management and monitoring
  • Help ensure Blast’s desired brand identity standards, externally and internally
  • Creatively push limits to live out and promote the Blast Core Values

Flex Your Skills With

  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing concepts, fundamentals, and programs
  • Basic  knowledge of HTML (experience with CSS and JavaScript a plus), and various content management systems (e.g. WordPress, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of Google Product Suite (e.g. Gmail, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A willingness to learn various digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Keyword Planner, Google AdWords, Moz Local, Screaming Frog, Advanced Web Ranking, and others

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Motivated and passionate; a quick learner and self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Desire to learn digital marketing; intellectual curiosity and general business acumen
  • Ability to learn and use core tools, including Confluence, JIRA, Harvest, and Harvest Forecast
  • Understanding of  basic digital marketing principles
  • Proven knowledge of Google Product Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or any equivalent combination of education and experience
